Ink Tango

Ink, it flows, liquid tales unfurl

Shadows on parchment, continuous swirl

Black, the very essence of night

Captured in droplets, following light

In the hush, between words unsaid

Concertos composed in silence unread

Every stroke of the pen creates or destroys

A cosmos unfolding, filling the voids

Stream of dreams, meanders and seeks

Through valleys of paper, mountainous peaks

Blood of thought, fluid of soul

Ready to render the incomplete, whole

Spanning the chasm, imagined or real

Gaps between that which we think and feel

To dance, to fight, to love, to grieve

In gardens of scribbles, each spot a leaf

The plume, the sword, the writer, the muse

Together, the power to write and enthuse

Ink, in its boundless seas, we find

Reflections of heart, echoes of mind

In Summer 2011,

the dream came to life

in a simple drawing.

Winter came on,

the land was little more than

a blank canvas.

When the following

Spring arrived;

construction commenced.

First,

the foundation.

Next,

the skeleton.

After two days of work,

a basic shell was standing,

though it still needed to be sided,

painted, and landscaped.

And finally,

in June 2012,

the dream came true:

Avant Garden Poetry Amphitheater!

Bronze horizon lines

Sun, a glowing testament

Faith shimmers at dawn

Scene 2

Clouds part, skies uplift

Hearts yearn for the day's caress

Hope sprouts, ever swift

Scene 3

Effervescent love

Sparkles in the morning light

Wings of joy take flight

Waltz with me

Demons flee

Taken cues
Hopeful news

Over dues

Thwarted blues

Heaven sends

Ne’er offends

Feeling blends

Spirit mends

Glow in grace

Open space

Subtle trace

Soft embrace

Mind of gold

Calm, yet bold

Faith unfold

Truth be told

Joyful days
Warming rays

Goodness plays

Tinting grays

One, two, three

Waltz with me
